Role Overview

The Digital Media Specialist will plan, build, and manage integrated digital advertising programs for DAC clients. The role focuses on the successful delivery of key paid media channels, including paid search, paid social, online video, display, and other core performance channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong expertise in biddable paid media and performance marketing.
  • Create weekly and monthly performance reports across paid media channels.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep work aligned and moving forward.
  • Track, analyze, and improve paid search and display campaigns based on client goals and business needs.
  • Set up, launch, optimize, and maintain campaigns in platforms such as Google Ads, Bing, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, and similar tools.
  • Test search ad copy and banner creative using best practices to improve results.
  • Research keywords, placements, and market opportunities to strengthen both new and existing campaigns.
  • Support conversion tracking setup with the Marketing Science team and learn campaign trafficking in CM360.
  • Build a working understanding of Google Analytics and how it supports campaign performance analysis.
  • Review campaign configurations and post-launch performance through quality assurance checks.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of practical experience managing paid search, paid social, display, or video campaigns.
  • Agency experience in performance media is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to client relationships, strategy discussions, and client-facing presentations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify messages and tailor them to different audiences.
  • Ability to work with third-party bid management platforms such as DoubleClick or Kenshoo.
  • Proven ability to structure campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads in line with business objectives and search best practices.
  • Comfort with pulling reports and turning campaign data into clear observations and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage budgets accurately across multiple campaigns and search engines.
  • Experience estimating traffic and cost for campaigns.
  • Ability to create campaigns across multiple locations, geographies, and business lines.
  • Experience building campaigns that connect to conversion-focused landing pages at scale.
  • Strong optimization skills and the ability to recommend improvements based on account performance.
  • Experience with ad copy testing and testing different ad extensions.
  • Deep familiarity with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads features and how to use them effectively.
  • Strong Excel skills, including data downloads, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, and data visualization.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership, and disciplined execution.

Working Style

This position is based in a hybrid setup, with three in-office days each week. Remote work is not available.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this role is CAD 55,000 to CAD 75,000. Final pay is based on factors such as location, education, skills, knowledge, competencies, experience, affordability, and organizational needs.
