Role summary
We are looking for a digitally savvy Marketing Specialist to support a restaurant-focused marketing team on a six-month contract. The assignment is fully remote and is offered through a staffing partner for a Boston-headquartered client.
Compensation and schedule
This role pays $25.00 per hour and follows a full-time schedule of 40 hours each week. The contract is for 6 months, with a possibility of being extended.
What you will do
You will help deliver end-to-end demand generation for restaurant clients using a mix of email, SMS, social media, SEO, ads, printed materials, and related marketing tools.
- Serve as the main contact for onboarding, approvals, and ongoing communication so customers stay updated on their marketing plans.
- Lead the monthly campaign cycle by building strategy, timelines, written copy, and creative direction for email, SMS, and social campaigns using internal tools.
- Configure and manage automated workflows such as win-back messages, receipt-based marketing, and happy hour promotions.
- Improve performance across channels, including SEO, Google Business Profile, website content, and business listings, and create flyers or other print collateral when needed.
- Track results each month, prepare reports with actionable insights, and refine campaigns based on performance and customer goals.
What the client is looking for
The ideal candidate brings hands-on digital marketing experience, confidence in copywriting and SEO, and a strong understanding of brand consistency. You should enjoy working directly with restaurant owners, translating their ideas into effective campaigns, and identifying ways to improve the customer experience.
Additional requirements and preferences
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of experience using digital marketing tools.
- At least 2 years of experience working with customers on an ongoing basis.
- A sharp design sense and the ability to create polished, easy-to-use marketing materials.
- Strong project coordination and communication abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving capability, and comfort managing several projects at once.
- Experience in restaurant marketing or small business marketing is an added advantage.
