Job description
Role overview
The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is hiring a Digital Designer and Content Creator for its Marketing Department on a full-time, year-round basis. The position supports marketing activity across all four college campuses, with base locations at Slough and Langley College or Berkshire College of Agriculture. You will need to travel between campuses as required.
The salary is on Support Staff Scale I, ranging from £29,487 to £32,206 per year.
What the role involves
This position is suited to someone who is enthusiastic about visual design and digital content production. Using the organisation’s image library and creating additional content, you will develop design work for internal and external promotional material, marketing campaigns, and user interface design for reports, student apps, and ILPs.
You will work in line with brand standards while respecting the distinct identity of each of the four colleges within the group, and you will also contribute creative ideas and practical design solutions.
As part of the wider Marketing team, you will help improve the college’s digital services by working in a user-centred, data-informed, iterative, and collaborative way.
Essential background and tools
Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Suite, and the production of graphic content for campaigns is required. Applicants should ideally be educated to degree level or an equivalent standard and bring at least 2 years of experience in a similar role delivering digital and print materials to deadlines.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to share a portfolio of work at interview.
Experience with content management systems such as WordPress, as well as social media and scheduling platforms, would be an advantage.
About the employer
The Windsor Forest Colleges Group is a major education provider in South East England. Its staff work across four main campuses: Langley, Windsor, Strodes in Egham, and Berkshire College of Agriculture in Maidenhead. The organisation focuses on placing learners at the centre of everything it does and delivers education and training to a broad range of students and businesses each year.
Benefits
Employees in support roles receive 30 days of annual leave in addition to bank holidays. Other benefits include career development opportunities, access to subsidised leisure courses, participation in an excellent defined benefit pension scheme, free on-site parking across all sites, a Cycle to Work scheme, family-friendly policies, an on-site coffee shop and cafeteria, and a range of health and wellbeing benefits such as discounted gym membership, confidential staff counselling, and reduced-price hair and beauty treatments at The Salon at Langley College.
How to apply and important notes
The vacancy closes on 13 June 2026. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, and the employer may interview and appoint before the closing date. Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.
Applications must be submitted through the employer’s careers page using the online application form. The supporting statement should clearly explain how the applicant meets each essential criterion in the person specification.
The college is committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff to support this commitment. Successful candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS check, a Barred List check, and any other legally required checks as part of the safeguarding process.
The organisation uses a trusted partner list for recruitment agencies and will not respond to speculative CVs or unsolicited candidate introductions from agencies outside that list.
Additional information
This role is a permanent, all-year-round appointment within the support staff structure, even though the employment listing is marked as contract.
