TechBuzz Hub is a shared innovation space built to help founders and business builders transform ideas into viable companies. It was established to address the high rate at which startups fail across Uganda and the wider African market, offering a supportive environment where early-stage ventures can develop and succeed.
The opportunity is connected to a Startup Funding Vehicles session, designed to show how creators and investors can collaborate to finance and grow meaningful startups. Participants will also gain exposure to practical funding approaches and a network that values the potential of every idea.
Under TechBuzz Hub, GPAP (Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program) is designed for students, graduates, and career changers who want to build the equivalent of 2 years' experience in just 3 months. The program allows participants to begin earning before the program ends and offers an 80% chance of job placement for dedicated participants after completion. GPAP is highly selective, admitting only 5 participants per cohort each month.
Role Summary
This is a full-time, in-person opportunity in Kampala for a Digital Marketing Trainee. The role supports the team across social media, digital campaigns, web analytics, and online marketing activities. The trainee will also help produce marketing content, coordinate promotional efforts, and communicate with both internal teammates and external clients.
Key Duties
- Support the management of social media channels and day-to-day digital presence.
- Assist in planning and executing digital marketing initiatives and online campaigns.
- Review web traffic and analytics data to help guide marketing decisions.
- Create written content such as articles, blog posts, and social media copy.
- Carry out research, editing, and proofreading for marketing materials.
- Contribute to content planning and strategy development.
- Coordinate online promotional activities with the broader team.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues and clients while working on assigned projects.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should have an interest in social media or a related course background. The role suits someone who is eager to learn, can adapt quickly to changing digital platforms, and is comfortable working both independently and with a team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical knowledge or interest in social media marketing and digital marketing.
- Exposure to web analytics and online marketing is important.

- Research skills and experience supporting content development.
