About the Employer

A well-established property and casualty insurance carrier is expanding its technology team and looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to help keep employee systems running smoothly. The organization is focused on delivering reliable insurance solutions while continuing to improve its internal tools and digital experience.

Role Overview

In this position, you will be part of the IT support function, assisting employees with day-to-day technical issues and ensuring their desktops, laptops, and related software are working effectively. This opportunity is well suited to someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on exposure in a structured corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for desktop, software, and basic network-related issues raised by end users.
  • Diagnose and fix problems involving operating systems, business applications, printers, and other workplace technology.
  • Install, set up, and update desktop hardware, software, and applications promptly.
  • Support the preparation and upkeep of devices such as desktops, laptops, and monitors for staff use.
  • Handle service desk requests, sort issues by priority, and route complex matters to senior IT personnel when needed.
  • Create and maintain support documentation, including technical notes, frequently asked questions, and user instructions.
  • Contribute to system imaging, deployment activities, and other IT initiatives as assigned.

Candidate Profile

The client is seeking someone with 0-3 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or a comparable technical support role. A background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is helpful but not mandatory. Candidates with CompTIA A+, ITIL, or similar certifications are preferred, though these are not required.

Technical and Soft Skills

Strong familiarity with Windows and Mac environments, Microsoft Office tools, and foundational networking concepts will be useful in this role. The ideal candidate should also bring solid troubleshooting ability, clear communication, and the confidence to assist non-technical employees in a professional and patient manner.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers a strong entry point for someone looking to build a long-term IT career within a respected insurance organization. You can expect training support, opportunities for growth, a collaborative workplace, and exposure to a broad mix of technologies in a fast-moving industry.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is competitive and based on experience. The benefits package includes health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. The company also offers ongoing learning opportunities, career development, and flexible scheduling options.

Additional Information

The employer is committed to diversity and inclusion and operates as an equal opportunity employer. This is an on-site full-time role in the United States.
