Job description
Role Overview
TS Qatar is seeking an enthusiastic Desktop Support Engineer at L1 level to handle first-line technical assistance, on-site device setup, and support for employee endpoints. This role is suited to someone eager to expand their IT infrastructure knowledge and grow a long-term career in the field.
Core Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and diagnose issues on Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems.
- Support a range of end-user equipment, including desktops, laptops, workstations, all-in-one PCs, printers, and related peripherals.
- Carry out operating system installations, hardware enhancements, preventive upkeep, and internal deployment activities.
- Resolve basic problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Offer introductory support for Linux-based systems.
- Record, track, and close incidents using the IT service ticketing platform, and route unresolved issues to the appropriate team.
- Keep IT asset records and supporting documentation updated and organized.
Candidate Profile
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 0 to 2 years of experience in desktop support.
- Strong diagnostic ability and clear communication are important for this position.
- Working knowledge of Windows installation, PC hardware, networking basics, and Linux fundamentals is expected.
