Role overview
This position is responsible for planning and delivering event programming from start to finish, curating shows and experiences, and shaping innovative concepts that deepen member engagement. The role combines creative thinking with strong execution, including artist selection, sponsorship alignment, budgeting, and end-to-end coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key relationships
The role reports to the Head - Events.
It involves regular coordination with external partners such as artists, artist managers, production agencies, sponsors, brand partners, vendors, consultants, and service providers, as well as internal teams including venue operations, F&B service, security, marketing, finance, operations, senior management, and CRMs.
Core responsibilities
- Lead event operations with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and smooth delivery.
- Plan and curate shows, lifestyle events, and themed experiences.
- Create distinct programming for specific properties and audiences, including ultra-HNI members, large annual events, marquee nights, and premium recurring formats.
- Develop innovative partnerships, lifestyle collaborations, and brand integrations that enhance the overall experience.
- Ensure events are delivered to a high standard and remain aligned with member expectations and brand positioning.
- Track new artists, shows, and emerging Indian talent, while staying current with market trends.
- Study global experiential formats and bring in concepts that go beyond conventional artist-led programming.
- Understand audience profiles and suggest event ideas that balance engagement with commercial viability.
- Build event budgets covering artist costs, production, and operational expenses.
- Monitor spend, negotiate agreements, and identify ways to improve cost efficiency without reducing quality.
- Work closely with the sponsorship team to unlock revenue through partnerships, brand tie-ups, and integrations.
- Represent the events function in cross-functional discussions and act as a key point of leadership for hospitality events.
- Maintain strong working relationships with artists, agencies, sponsors, and venue stakeholders.
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Secure approvals, contracts, and supporting documentation in a timely manner according to internal processes.
- Follow organizational policies and statutory requirements in all event-related activity.
- Maintain clear and transparent records for budgets, sponsorship reporting, and vendor agreements.
- Ensure safe practices during stage setup, technical work, and guest movement.
- Make sure vendors follow safety and risk-management protocols.
- Escalate and resolve any issues related to guest safety, workplace hazards, or operational risk.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or Mass Communication is required. An MBA in Event Management or Marketing is preferred.
The ideal candidate should bring 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in event programming and curation, with demonstrated strength in artist management, sponsorship partnerships, and delivery of high-value events. Background in hospitality, lifestyle, or entertainment is preferred.
