Overview

No Frills is seeking a motivated Department Manager to join the team in Red Deer, Alberta. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, serving customers well, and helping a department perform strongly day to day.

The role is part of a retail environment that values teamwork, accountability, and strong customer connections. It is suited to someone who can work in a fast-moving store, support colleagues, and contribute directly to sales growth and customer satisfaction.

What you will do

  • Put customers first by understanding their needs and delivering a strong shopping experience.
  • Guide, support, and inspire team members so they can perform well and continue developing.
  • Help maintain high standards across merchandising and daily operations.
  • Own departmental sales performance and help meet financial goals.

What the role requires

  • Strong customer service abilities, with the ability to build repeat business and customer trust.
  • Previous leadership background in retail or food service environments.
  • Experience related to the department is preferred.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and create an engaged team atmosphere.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position is $37,500 to $55,300 per year. Pay may vary based on experience, knowledge, and the geographic location of the role.
