Job description
Role overview
This position combines remote support with field service work for dental technology systems. The engineer will assist with first- and second-line technical and administrative support across Carestream Dental hardware and software, while also helping dealer partners, internal teams, and end users with on-site or field-based technical issues.
Core support duties
- Handle technical and administrative support requests for Carestream Dental products at the first and second support levels.
- Respond to customer questions and route issues through the appropriate escalation path when needed.
- Arrange customer licenses and spare parts as required.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify faults, isolate the root cause, and apply suitable fixes.
- Balance remote troubleshooting work with field service responsibilities, with approximately half of the role focused on this area.
Field service and training
- Support the dealer network, internal staff, and end users in resolving technical concerns.
- Provide technical and application training to Carestream Dental employees, dealer technicians, and customers.
- Work with a strong focus on DICOM-related environments and workflows.
Customer service expectations
The role requires consistently strong customer service delivery, both while supporting issues remotely and when working directly in the field.
