Role overview
Applegreen is hiring a Bakewell Deli Team Member in Portlaoise, County Laois, to support the day-to-day running of the deli and front-line store operations. This position suits someone who enjoys customer interaction, teamwork, and being part of a busy, service-focused environment.
The role is centered on helping deliver a positive food experience for customers while maintaining high standards across cleanliness, food handling, and stock control. You will work with the wider management team to help the site meet its weekly and quarterly goals.
Key duties
- Assist with everyday business operations and keep the deli running smoothly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and tidy shop floor.
- Follow food safety standards and make sure all relevant policies are properly applied.
- Carry out food preparation tasks.
- Adhere to Bakewell manual training requirements and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and support stock control activities.
- Help create a strong food service experience for customers.
- Work with management to support weekly and quarterly performance targets.
