The company is in the middle of a major platform migration to modernize its core technology environment. It is seeking a detail-focused Data Analyst Intern to support this transition and gain practical experience outside the classroom. This position offers hands-on exposure to database structure, data governance, and system integration, working closely with IT and data teams to verify migrated information, create reporting views in SQL, and support API connections between systems.

What You'll Do

• Check data accuracy during migration by writing and running scripts that compare records from the old system with the new one, then investigating mismatches and helping maintain strong data quality.
• Create and refine SQL queries and database views that support business intelligence, regulatory reporting, and day-to-day operations in the updated environment.
• Support integration work by testing, documenting, and managing RESTful API calls so data moves correctly and securely between external applications and the core platform.
• Assist with documentation for the new data structure, including data dictionaries, migration steps, and related training materials.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is currently studying Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a similar discipline at the bachelor's or master's level.

Strong SQL fundamentals are important, including the ability to work with joins, filters, and views across complex datasets. A basic understanding of APIs, including REST and JSON, as well as familiarity with tools such as Postman, is expected. Experience with Excel functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables, or with visualization tools such as Power BI or Looker, would be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, tracking down the source of data issues, and explaining technical ideas clearly to colleagues who may not have a technical background.

Working Model and Schedule

This is a part-time onsite position based in Braintree, MA. The role is expected to be worked in the office for three full days each week, with the possibility of additional hours later on. The preferred candidate should be available during the summer and ideally continue through the school year in a reduced schedule that fits academic commitments.

Compensation

The hourly pay for this internship is between $20 and $25.
