Job description

Role Overview

We are partnering with a prominent global firm to find a skilled Data Analyst for a 12-month contract based in Manchester, UK. This position requires presence onsite on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The daily remuneration is £425, falling inside IR35 regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, cleanse, verify, and analyze extensive datasets sourced from multiple channels.
  • Create and maintain analytical dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and other business intelligence platforms.
  • Convert business demands into tailored analytic solutions and practical insights.
  • Conduct exploratory data analyses to discover patterns, opportunities, and improvement potentials.
  • Provide ad hoc analytic support aiding business and operational decision processes.
  • Track key performance indicators and deliver regular updates to principal stakeholders.
  • Develop and fine-tune SQL queries, data structures, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with various teams to identify and solve data quality problems.
  • Assist forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive modeling efforts.
  • Adhere to data governance, security, and privacy standards.
  • Document analytical methods, data definitions, and reporting workflows.
  • Communicate findings and suggestions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead improvements through report automation and process optimization strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated professional experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for querying and analyzing data.
  • Expertise in developing dashboards with Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities to interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience converting business requirements into impactful data solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and critical thinking.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively with both business and technology teams.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Additional Desired Experience

  • Familiarity with enterprise-level data platform projects.
  • Knowledge of forecasting and predictive analytics methodologies.
  • Understanding of data governance and privacy regulations.
  • Experience in automating reporting tasks and workflows.
  • Previous involvement with large, intricate enterprise environments.
