Compensation is approximately $1,800 to $2,100 for each completed task, with additional eligibility for performance-based bonuses.

Core work

  • Assess and verify model-produced responses covering threat analysis, vulnerability reviews, incident triage, and security architecture guidance.
  • Create realistic cyber scenarios and supporting materials such as incident response playbooks, threat-hunting queries, penetration testing summaries, security control reviews, and SOC decision trees.
  • Tag, classify, and validate data across areas such as CVE categorization, attack vector mapping, SIEM alert handling, and malware behavior review.
  • Deliver structured feedback on model quality using frameworks and standards including NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and threat intelligence formats such as STIX/TAXII.
  • Work asynchronously with research teams to improve evaluation methods for cybersecurity-focused language models.

Candidate profile

  • Demonstrated background in cybersecurity gained in an enterprise, MSSP, consulting, or government/defense setting.
  • Hands-on exposure in at least one of the following: SOC operations, incident response and digital forensics, penetration testing, red team activity, threat intelligence, cloud security across AWS/Azure/GCP, zero-trust design, or governance/risk/compliance work involving NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
  • Ability to convert real-world security operations and architecture processes into structured tasks that can be used for annotation and evaluation.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain technical security concepts clearly and accurately.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC, or Security+ are advantageous.
