Role overview
Delmar International Inc. is looking for a Customs Associate to support branch operations in Fort Erie, Ontario. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position handles customs rating, release activities, and the day-to-day management of customs transactions for a portfolio of clients. The goal of the role is to keep all processing on schedule and deliver a consistently high level of service to clients.
Key responsibilities
The associate will be expected to manage customs transactions accurately and efficiently, while ensuring deadlines are consistently met. This role supports smooth brokerage operations and requires strong coordination to maintain reliable client service.
Required background
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in customs entry processing and in clearing truck shipments. A high school diploma is required. Working knowledge of MS Office and general computer use is also needed. A CCS designation will be viewed as an advantage.
Preferred strengths
The ideal candidate brings excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, can work well both in a team and independently, and has strong customer service skills when handling client requests. The role also calls for someone who is highly organized, careful with details, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
