About the role
Eversend is hiring tech-savvy Customer Support Specialists to support customers from Uganda or Kenya. In this role, you will act as the main support contact for users across Africa and other regions, responding with speed, empathy, and strong product knowledge.
This is a full-time position on a rotating 24/7 shift schedule. The role requires flexibility and reliability, including availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Handle customer queries through live chat and email, providing prompt and effective solutions.
- Assist English-speaking customers across all supported markets, with French support considered an advantage.
- Walk users through the Eversend app and services while resolving issues patiently and clearly.
- Escalate complex matters to the appropriate teams, including technology, compliance, and finance, and track them through to resolution.
- Flag repeated product or service issues and share customer feedback to help improve the product experience.
- Keep interaction records accurate and aligned with internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new features, policies, and workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Must-have requirements
- Strong written and spoken English at a professional level.
- Previous customer support experience, ideally in fintech, banking, or another digital-first environment.
- Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new tools and applications quickly.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to stay composed under pressure.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent attention to detail and clear written communication.
- Ability to work well in a diverse, multicultural team.
Added advantages
- French language ability, both written and spoken, for serving Francophone customers in West Africa.
- Experience with support platforms such as Intercom, Zendesk, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with mobile money, digital finance, or cross-border payment products.
- Additional languages relevant to the company’s markets.
