Job description

Role overview

Probe CX is hiring a Customer Solutions Specialist to support a major Federal Government organisation from its Springfield call centre in Queensland. In this role, you will be the initial contact for members of the public and help deliver important services on behalf of a national agency.

This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a trusted government partnership, offering ongoing work and a reliable team environment. The position is based in central Springfield, close to local cafes and public transport, and includes the possibility of hybrid working after you are established in the role, though the job is primarily onsite.

What you will do

You will work in a high-energy contact centre handling a wide variety of enquiries while building practical customer service and technical skills.

  • Translate complex government information into straightforward, easy-to-follow guidance for the public.
  • Use empathy and active listening to support customers and respond appropriately to their concerns.
  • Work across advanced systems and multiple screens to strengthen digital confidence and efficiency.
  • Investigate issues, find accurate resolutions, and perform well in a busy, target-driven environment.
  • Maintain strong organisation by balancing service quality with schedule adherence in a fast-paced setting.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate will bring transferable customer service experience from environments such as retail or hospitality, along with solid computer skills and a problem-solving mindset. You should enjoy working in a lively, fast-moving workplace and be able to show genuine empathy when dealing with people.

Availability across rostered hours between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm is required. Applicants must be Australian citizens, be at least 18 years old, and be willing to complete a national background check, which the employer will pay for.

Training, pay, and benefits

The role includes competitive remuneration made up of base pay, superannuation, incentives, penalties, and employee benefits. New starters receive 10 days of paid, comprehensive training to prepare them before taking live calls.

Work options include part-time hours of 20 to 36 per week, as well as Monday to Friday rosters. The company also offers career development through internal pathways, recognition for high performance, a wellness program, 24/7 personal safety and support services, and employee discounts on fuel, groceries, technology, and fashion through Flare. An employee referral program is also available with rewards for successful recommendations.
