Job description

Role purpose

This position is focused on generating insurance business through an assigned team while delivering pre-sales and post-sales support to customers. The role is expected to not only meet monthly and quarterly targets, but also build steady business growth every quarter.

Business context and key challenges

The channel is still in a stabilization phase, so the role involves significant effort in establishing the right people, processes, and operating structure. Another challenge is the high turnover among front-line sales staff, along with a limited supply of strong-quality talent.

Key responsibilities

You will be accountable for premium and NOP targets, smooth sales operations, team deployment, and business quality. The role also covers team development, process adherence, and persistency management to support long-term business performance.

  • Assign leads to team members based on the targets set for them.
  • Track performance regularly against topline goals and health metrics.
  • Coach team members through the sales journey, including lead conversion and deal closure.
  • Drive participation in reward and recognition initiatives run by the organization.
  • Keep the team updated on process updates, rule changes, and regulatory shifts through training modules.
  • Make sure sales and service activities, including customer calls, policy issuance, and complaint resolution, happen without operational delays.
  • Assess team strengths and allocate responsibilities accordingly.
  • Evaluate business-unit opportunities and distribute targets appropriately.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members to improve productivity.
  • Review business performance frequently and share the required information with senior leaders.
  • Meet persistency expectations in line with company standards so renewals are completed on time.
  • Take corrective action wherever persistency or health metrics need improvement.
  • Support the team through continuous on-the-job learning and skill-building.
