Role overview
As a Customer Account Specialist, you will support client service operations by handling business application support, as well as computer software and hardware troubleshooting for CarePoint client accounts. This role involves working with business teams and pharmacies to identify, investigate, and fix technical and software issues tied to customer accounts.

Work location
This is a remote position for candidates based in the continental United States.
What you will do
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve issues related to software, communications, and computer systems.
- Deliver technical support for software and hardware as required.
- Install, set up, and configure new software and upgrades for end users.
- Open, review, prioritize, and manage support tickets while recording project progress.
- Maintain strong customer service standards when responding to questions and concerns.
- Follow escalation procedures, ticket follow-up timelines, customer SLA commitments, and internal service standards.
- Coordinate directly with client contacts to align expectations and address ongoing needs.
- Take ownership of selected customer account issues and resolve most matters independently.
- Build and maintain relationships with assigned accounts to support future opportunities.
Education and experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, though an equivalent technical/vocational certification or comparable experience may also be considered. Pharmacy technician license or training is also preferred.
Required knowledge and background
Candidates should have exposure to PC maintenance and repair, application software support, and Microsoft Office/Project products. Experience in account management is required, and familiarity with pharmacy operations is an advantage.
Skills and abilities
Strong candidates will have working knowledge of pharmacy systems, SQL Server and related properties, a broad understanding of computer systems, hardware, peripherals, and communications, along with troubleshooting ability. The role also requires strong attention to detail, good follow-through, the ability to manage clients and meetings independently, clear communication and presentation skills, multitasking capability, and a self-driven, positive attitude.
Compensation
The offered pay range is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Final compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
