Job description

Role Overview

This position involves operating company vehicles to collect and deliver packages in a timely, professional manner. The role also includes checking shipments to ensure they meet FedEx service standards and handling customer service tasks related to pickups and deliveries. The vehicle used is not subject to section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Work Schedule

The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED is required. No prior experience is necessary.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

The job calls for the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to move packages weighing more than 50 lbs with the proper equipment or help from another person. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond appropriately to official instructions in line with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

This is a non-covered safety-sensitive role. Because the position involves customer interaction, a neat and professional appearance is expected. The employee must be able to remain alert at all times and perform the work safely. A valid license for the assigned vehicle type is required.
