Job description
Role overview
Topsoe is seeking a Cost Estimator in Delhi to support work tied to the global energy transition. In this position, you will assess complex commercial and technical questions, define practical estimating approaches, and prepare detailed cost models for proprietary hardware. The role covers hardware pricing, labour hours, and standard mark-up calculations, along with the preparation of scope of supply documents and Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates for proposals and studies.
What the role involves
You will work closely with commercial, research and development, and engineering teams to make sure estimating outputs are reliable, timely, and aligned with business needs. A key part of the job is acting as the process owner for several estimating tools, keeping them current and effective. You will also help validate estimate quality, benchmark results, and support the creation of cost-effective and standardized processes across Topsoe’s technology segments.
The position also requires you to communicate findings to leadership, coordinate with stakeholders across the organization, and ensure that all estimating documentation is accurate and delivered on schedule.
What you bring
This role calls for strong mechanical understanding and hands-on experience in cost estimation, especially for TIC estimates connected to proposals and studies. You should have a broad awareness of engineering disciplines and a practical, results-oriented mindset.
Experience in onshore industries, renewables, or petrochemical projects is important, as is familiarity with multiple estimating tools and databases. You should be able to work proactively, think commercially, and stay customer-focused even when information is incomplete.
Strong verbal and written English skills are required, along with the ability to coach others, share knowledge, collaborate well, and remain organized and effective under pressure.
About the team and environment
You will join a global team of cost estimators and collaborate with colleagues across commercial, R&D, and engineering functions. The team values open communication, collective achievement, and ongoing improvement, with a culture that supports contribution, learning, and professional growth.
Why join Topsoe
Topsoe offers a dynamic and inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to develop and succeed. The role provides exposure to multiple technology segments and collaboration with teams across Global Commercial, Global Supply, Executive Management, and Engineering. You will also have opportunities for networking, innovation, and professional development in a supportive setting.
How to apply
Applicants should submit their materials in English. No cover letter is needed; instead, include a few lines in your CV explaining your motivation for the role. Candidates are asked not to include photos in their CVs so that the process remains fair and unbiased.
