Role Overview

The Cost Accountant will be based in Greater Noida and will be responsible for managing product costing, inventory control, variance reporting, and profitability analysis. The role requires close coordination with internal teams to support pricing, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Deliverables

  • Track and control costing across all SKUs and products.
  • Oversee physical inventory cycle counts and related checks.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on cost deviations.
  • Create reports for slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
  • Compile and share profitability reports.

Responsibilities

  • Study manufacturing, inventory, and labour costs to identify opportunities for savings and better operational performance.
  • Set up and improve job work processes for inter-company transactions while ensuring GST compliance.
  • Compare standard cost with actual production cost and explain any variances.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain correct valuation of inventory, including work-in-progress.
  • Prepare regular reports on cost variance, stock movement, and profitability, and support pricing decisions with internal teams.
  • Conduct inventory physical verification, manage cycle counts, and document discrepancies.
  • Review and approve purchase orders after comparing pricing to support cost efficiency.
  • Check purchase invoices and submit observation reports to management.
  • Carry out surprise floor visits and flag any operational or cost-related issues.

  • Mandatory qualification: B.Com or M.Com
