Job description
Role overview
The Corporate Actions Analyst supports the day-to-day handling of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions. In this position, you will help coordinate the movement of required information among internal and external parties such as Front Office teams, Portfolio Managers, Fund Accounting, Treasurer’s Offices, and custodian banks.
What the team does
The Global Corporate Actions team manages the full lifecycle of corporate actions processing, including income events as well as mandatory and voluntary events. This role contributes to the routine processing work, reporting obligations, and data management standards followed by the department. You will also work across multiple teams within the organization and act as a representative of the business to customers and partners.
Key responsibilities
Your work will focus on high-quality processing of voluntary corporate actions, communication of complex events to internal stakeholders, issue escalation, and day-to-day support for research questions from internal teams and external vendors. You will also build your understanding of product and processing rules while working with guidance from more experienced colleagues, and look for practical ways to improve existing processes.
Impact of the role
The Global Middle Office supports trading desks worldwide by helping confirm and settle security and currency transactions, providing daily cash estimates to Trading, coordinating corporate action executions, ensuring income reaches the funds, resolving position differences, and supporting securities lending activity.
Experience and qualifications
This role calls for 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in financial services. Prior exposure to mandatory and voluntary corporate actions processing is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is expected.
Working model
The position currently follows a hybrid working arrangement with some flexibility for remote work. Fidelity is moving toward a full-time return to office over time, with the transition expected to begin from 2027 onward, though no fixed date has been confirmed.
