Overview
Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is recruiting for two Yellowknife-based opportunities in Construction Services. One is a Coordinator, Construction Services role, and the other is an Indigenous Student Opportunity for the same function. DCC is a Crown corporation responsible for delivering infrastructure and environmental projects in support of Canada’s defence needs.
Role 1: Coordinator, Construction Services
Location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
Compensation: $70,018 to $94,525
Application deadline: May 19, 2022
This position focuses on contract administration and construction support. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day contract compliance, help resolve contractual issues as they arise, keep project schedules on track, work with Client-Partner representatives, and maintain accurate records of site activity. The role calls for a college diploma in engineering, applied science, or a closely related discipline, along with four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Role 2: Indigenous Student Opportunity: Coordinator, Construction Services
Location: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
Compensation: $33,021 to $44,579
Application deadline: May 31, 2022
Term: 4 months
This student opportunity supports compliance checks for contract requirements and may involve monitoring environmental contracts or carrying out environmental field sampling. The position also contributes to larger renovation assignments and major new construction work. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college (including CEGEP) or university program in engineering, architecture, environmental studies, applied science, or a related field at an accredited institution.
Additional Information
Employees in Yellowknife may qualify for the applicable Isolated Post Allowance, as determined by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.
