About the role
The Coordinator, Business Development – Corporate Partnerships plays a key support role within the PGA TOUR’s Business Development team. The position helps identify, shape, and close new corporate partnership opportunities while contributing across sales support, research, administration, and project coordination.
This role is centered on helping the organization grow new partnership revenue through prospect tracking, client-ready materials, internal coordination, and business development execution.
What you'll do
- Help the Business Development team find and assess prospective corporate partners.
- Research industries, companies, and categories to surface market patterns and new business opportunities.
- Keep prospect lists, target account plans, and pipeline activity organized and updated.
- Build briefing notes and background documents for meetings and business development efforts.
- Track sponsorship activity, industry updates, and competitor movements.
- Maintain accurate prospect and opportunity data in CRM and pipeline tools.
- Support forecasting, pipeline reporting, and sales activity tracking.
- Coordinate internal follow-ups and workflows tied to partnership pursuits.
- Assist with proposal schedules and broader project management tasks.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and performance metrics for business development leadership.
- Contribute to partnership presentations, proposals, and other client-facing assets.
- Collect content from internal teams for commercial sales materials.
- Help organize and maintain pitch decks, proposals, presentation files, and sales collateral used in new business efforts.
- Support the creation of business cases, sponsorship valuations, and opportunity reviews.
- Make sure sales materials stay accurate, up to date, and consistent with internal standards.
- Arrange meetings, calls, and other partner-related business development activity with both external prospects and internal teams.
- Assist with client hospitality, event participation, and relationship-building efforts when needed.
- Work with Sponsor Relations, Commercial Operations, Media, Events, PGA TOUR Studios, and other teams to gather information that supports sales opportunities.
- Help execute departmental projects and strategic initiatives.
- Join client meetings, presentations, and other business development activities to deepen commercial knowledge.
- Take on special projects as assigned.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in sports, sponsorship, sales, marketing, agency, consulting, or a similar business setting.
- Strong planning, organization, and project coordination capabilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle several priorities at once.
- Genuine interest in sponsorship sales, business development, sports marketing, and commercial partnerships.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.
