Job description

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Content Producer to support a creative team on location in London for roughly 2 to 4 days each month. The role is highly hands-on and sits across shoot execution, content capture and production support, working closely with the Production and Social teams to bring campaign ideas to life.

This opportunity suits someone who is deeply engaged with social media, is interested in how content is created end-to-end rather than only how it is published, and wants to grow a long-term career in production, content creation and creative delivery. You will receive support, training and development under the Creative Director, while also being expected to take initiative, think ahead and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

On-set production and content capture

  • Attend photo and video shoots across London.
  • Create social-first content using an iPhone and camera.
  • Work with talent throughout shoot days.
  • Identify strong content opportunities in real time and act on them.

Editing and content delivery

  • Prepare captured content for handoff to the social team.
  • Organise files, folders and content libraries after shoots.
  • Make sure delivery is timely and aligned with the brief.

Shoot coordination and logistics

  • Support shoot planning, schedules and run sheets.
  • Help coordinate locations, props, equipment and timing.
  • Keep productions moving smoothly and raise issues early.
  • Stay calm and practical when plans change on the day.

What we are looking for

Previous years of experience are not essential, but you should bring strong interest, confidence and organisation. The ideal person is comfortable working with clients, flexible around schedules and able to manage pressure with a solutions-focused mindset.

Culture and working style

Melbourne Social Co values how work is done as much as the final output. The team looks for ownership rather than simply task completion, high standards without ego, steady momentum over perfectionism, clear communication and accountability, and a calm, capable and kind approach under pressure.

The environment is designed to trust people early, support development intentionally and encourage initiative, judgment and pride in the work. This is a role where you will be visible, supported and challenged rather than micromanaged.

Application details

Applicants are asked to share a resume, examples of work they are proud of such as case studies, campaigns, content or decks, their availability for shoot days, and their half-day and full-day rates. The subject line should clearly mention Content Producer.

Leave it if you'd like a reply — we won't use it for anything else.
