Job description
Job purpose
The Content Producer will concept, shoot, produce, and edit high-impact digital content that strengthens the Dallas Wings brand, increases fan interaction, and supports revenue and community goals. This position will craft social-first stories around the team, players, and fans while contributing to marketing campaigns, sponsorship activations, ticketing efforts, and broader organizational storytelling across all team channels. The role calls for someone who can move quickly on live content while also building thoughtful campaign narratives across multiple platforms.
What you will do
- Develop, film, and edit video and photo assets that perform well across social media, digital marketing, arena presentations, and broadcast use.
- Create storytelling that puts the spotlight on players, team identity, fan moments, and marketing initiatives.
- Plan and deliver both short-form and long-form content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and other digital team platforms.
- Turn marketing and business priorities into creative content that advances ticket sales, brand awareness, partnerships, and fan engagement.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and live-action content during practices, games, community appearances, and team travel.
- Take the lead or provide support for gameday content production, including shooting, editing, and quick-turn publishing.
- Work closely with Marketing, Social Media, Partnerships, Community, Ticketing, and Creative teams to execute integrated campaigns and sponsor content.
- Help plan and execute major content moments such as schedule announcements, draft coverage, theme nights, playoff pushes, and key organizational news.
- Organize, tag, and archive video and photography files so assets remain easy to find and reuse.
- Travel with the team for selected away games and major events while helping cover live content needs.
- Take on additional duties and special projects as needed.
Game day expectations
- Produce content on game days.
- Be prepared for long periods of standing, walking, and extended working hours.
- Availability is required for all Dallas Wings home games and selected community events, with work potentially scheduled on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Reporting structure
This role reports to the Director of Marketing. No positions report into this role.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in media production, film, communications, marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Two to four years of professional experience in digital content production, videography, or social media content creation.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation is considered an advantage.
- A professional portfolio showing design ability and branding work is required.
- Work may be performed in the community, office, or arenas depending on business needs.
- Must be able to attend all Dallas Wings home games and company events, which may occur at night, on weekends, or on holidays.
- May need to travel to away games, including air travel and overnight stays.
- Strong videography and editing skills with a track record of social-first storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Working knowledge of photography and digital camera equipment.
- Understanding of social platform trends, content optimization, and audience engagement.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-heavy environment.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to accept creative direction and contribute original ideas.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and travel tied to sports and live events.
- Interest in sports, storytelling, and women’s basketball is preferred.
Physical requirements
- Extended periods of desk work, computer use, walking, and long work hours.
- Ability to stand and move for long stretches during games and events.
- Capacity to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to hear, see, read, write, speak clearly, stay focused, and comprehend information.
- Must be able to plan, organize, interpret data, make decisions, solve problems, and remain composed under pressure and deadlines.
