Job description
About the Role
Somerce is a TikTok Shop agency that partners with more than 70 international brands in beauty, FMCG, and wellness. The company is looking for a Content Creator who can manage video production from start to finish — shaping ideas, shooting, editing, and delivering polished content. The role is split across the agency’s own channels, paid advertising creatives, and the founder’s personal brand. It suits someone highly practical, creatively sharp, and equally confident operating a camera or working inside an editing suite.
What You’ll Be Creating
- Plan, film, and edit short-form social videos for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts for both Somerce and the founder’s accounts.
- Develop UGC-style and direct-response ad creative for paid campaigns with a focus on performance and conversions.
- Shape and grow Joe Yates’ personal brand through talking-head videos, behind-the-scenes clips, podcast segments, event coverage, keynote footage, and highlights from longer thought-leadership content.
- Capture live commerce productions, studio sessions, and event coverage, often in fast-moving environments and on location.
- Handle the full production workflow, including concept development, filming, lighting, audio capture, editing, captions, light motion graphics, and final delivery.
- Turn long-form material such as keynotes, live sessions, and podcasts into a regular supply of short clips.
- Maintain a reliable posting rhythm in line with the content calendar.
- Track new platform formats and trends, contributing ideas proactively rather than only following briefs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shooting and editing short-form video independently, supported by a portfolio or showreel.
- Strong command of editing tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci, CapCut, or comparable software; knowledge of After Effects is a bonus.
- Good understanding of TikTok-first, platform-native creative rather than content adapted from traditional TV advertising.
- Ability to guide on-camera talent and manage basic lighting and audio setup without support.
- Comfort working with high output, quick deadlines, and consistently high quality.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to manage shoots and publishing schedules independently.
Benefits
- Salary that is competitive and aligned to experience and results.
- Performance-based bonus or commission tied to commercial outcomes.
- 28 days of holiday in addition to bank holidays.
- Hybrid working arrangement with offices in London and Manchester.
- Flexible working hours with emphasis on output rather than fixed clocking.
- Clear advancement pathways with early responsibility.
- Regular performance reviews centred on development and impact.
- Exposure to fast-growing brands across the UK, US, and EU.
- Opportunity to work in a leading area of TikTok Shop and social commerce.
- Company pension scheme.
- Monthly wellness support that can be used for gym, fitness, mental wellbeing, or similar needs.
- Team social events throughout the year.
- Staff discounts across brands and partner businesses.
- Fast-moving environment with high ownership.
- Low bureaucracy and strong accountability.
- Work alongside people focused on performance, creativity, and quality.
- A business model where team success is shared with client success.
- Trust in employees to make decisions and contribute ideas.
- Quick decision-making and support for strong ideas.
- Real influence as well as responsibility.
- Growth opportunities for strong performers.
Additional Information
This is a hands-on creative position for someone comfortable working at pace, switching between shooting and editing, and contributing ideas that improve both creative quality and commercial performance.
