As the company expands, it is increasing its focus on content, community, creator collaborations, and growth marketing to strengthen brand visibility, deepen audience engagement, and support long-term growth.

Role Overview

Pixio is hiring a Content Creator & Community Specialist to join the Growth Marketing team full time in Torrance, CA, on site. This role is centered on content production, especially short-form video, while also contributing to social media management, community engagement, creator and influencer partnerships, email marketing, product launches, and broader growth campaigns.

The position reports to the Growth Marketing Lead and works closely with the Creative, Ecommerce, Customer Support, and Product teams. It is designed for someone who enjoys making content, understands what works on social platforms, follows creators and online trends, and wants to build a career in marketing through hands-on experience across multiple channels.

Content Creation & Social Media

Content creation is the main function of this role. The specialist will develop a steady flow of engaging material that supports brand awareness, audience growth, launches, promotions, creator programs, and overall business objectives.

  • Create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and new platforms as they emerge.
  • Handle the full content cycle, including ideation, shooting, editing, publishing, and performance optimization.
  • Capture content with both mobile devices and professional camera gear.
  • Build content for launches, promotions, seasonal initiatives, and brand campaigns.
  • Produce a balanced mix of trend-based, educational, entertaining, community-oriented, and product-centered content.
  • Create gaming, desk setup, lifestyle, creator, and behind-the-scenes videos.
  • Keep a rolling content calendar organized and up to date.
  • Spot opportunities around trends, discussions, and cultural moments.
  • Track performance metrics and refine content using engagement, reach, growth, and business goals.

Video Editing & Content Production

Strong editing ability is a key requirement for this position.

  • Edit social-first content in CapCut, which is mandatory for the role.
  • Use Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable tools when needed.
  • Shape content to fit each platform’s style and audience expectations.
  • Use pacing, hooks, captions, and retention-focused storytelling techniques to improve performance.
  • Demonstrate strong mobile-first editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Adapt one piece of content into several formats and creative versions.
  • Move quickly without sacrificing quality or creativity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Keep content libraries and creative assets structured and accessible.

Community Management

The selected candidate will act as one of Pixio’s key online brand voices.

  • Reply to comments, direct messages, questions, and ongoing community discussions.
  • Engage with customers, creators, and supporters across social channels.
  • Assist with Discord, Reddit, and other community engagement efforts.
  • Help build a positive, active, and loyal community around the brand.
  • Observe conversations and share customer insights, trends, and feedback with the Growth Marketing team.
  • Look for ways to improve participation and deeper engagement.

Influencer, Creator & Affiliate Programs

This role will support Pixio’s creator ecosystem and partnership activities.

  • Coordinate influencer gifting and creator seeding efforts.
  • Research creators who fit the Pixio brand and audience.
  • Organize outreach, product shipping, and campaign operations.
  • Assist with influencer, affiliate, ambassador, and creator partnership programs.
  • Support creator campaigns, launches, and brand activations.
  • Monitor deliverables and review campaign performance.

Email & Lifecycle Marketing

The role also contributes to email marketing as part of the larger Growth Marketing function.

  • Help shape email campaign strategy, messaging, subject lines, and creative ideas.
  • Create graphics, GIFs, video assets, and promotional materials for email sends.
  • Support retention and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Contribute to subscriber growth and list-building activity.
  • Assist with A/B testing and campaign improvements.
  • Review campaign results and identify opportunities to enhance performance.

No prior email marketing background is required, as training will be provided for the right person.

Product Launch & Campaign Support

The specialist will play an active role in launch planning and growth marketing execution.

  • Create launch content and supporting assets for new product releases.
  • Contribute to seasonal campaigns, promotions, and major sales events.
  • Coordinate content across social, creator partnerships, community channels, and email.
  • Assist with execution and reporting for campaigns.
  • Work across Creative, Ecommerce, Customer Support, and Product teams to bring initiatives to life.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, success in this role should include consistent creation and publication of strong weekly content across Pixio’s social channels, measurable growth in followers, engagement, reach, and community participation, and effective support for launches and campaigns. The role should also contribute to stronger customer interaction, greater creator participation, improved email performance, and increased brand awareness and revenue impact through social media.

Qualifications

This position calls for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or online community growth. A strong passion for gaming, technology, creator culture, PC hardware, or desk setups is also important.

Preferred experience includes managing creator partnerships, using email platforms, and working in gaming, consumer electronics, technology, lifestyle, or ecommerce environments. Familiarity with Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, or ecommerce marketing is an added advantage.

Benefits & Perks

The compensation for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and product perks. The role also offers real ownership, direct access to leadership, and exposure across content creation, community management, influencer programs, email marketing, and product launches.
