Role overview

We are hiring Business Consultants to work with clients on improving how their business applications are used and delivered. In this role, you will partner with customers to understand needs, compare options, assess solutions, and apply the most effective approach to meet requirements efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Help clients clarify and define their business requirements.
  • Support clients in resolving business challenges and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Carry out gap analysis between customer requirements and the functionality available in TechnologyOne software.
  • Evaluate, plan, and coordinate deployments within the business applications team.
  • Design, implement, and deliver solutions that improve business operations and user experience.
  • Raise change requests when enhancements are needed.
  • Work with internal resources to help clients get the greatest possible value from their TechnologyOne platform.
  • Contribute to improving internal delivery methods and ways of working.
  • Support clients in simplifying, optimising, and modernising their business applications.

Working arrangement

  • This is a permanent role available on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • The position can be carried out from anywhere in New Zealand.
  • There may be occasional business travel.

What helps you succeed

  • At least 2 years of TechnologyOne consulting experience, or equivalent experience as a user.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and implementing business systems, with TechnologyOne Core Enterprise Suite (CES), CI, and CIA knowledge considered essential.
  • Experience with TechnologyOne Financials, HRP, or Property and Rating is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to document functional specifications and requirement artefacts.
  • Experience analysing client needs and advising on how to make the best use of software investments.
  • Comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Strong client relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate closely with customers.
  • TechnologyOne technical knowledge such as XLOne Reporting and BPA is preferred.
  • Confidence delivering training to audiences in person or remotely.
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Alignment with company values, along with self-motivation, organisation, problem-solving ability, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in a related field.
