Job description

Role overview

In this role, you will support Technology M&A Managers and Senior Managers on small to medium assignments, acting as day-to-day support across active engagements.

Due diligence support

  • Review target-company data to understand the technology environment, including costs, products, systems, and IT contracts.
  • Summarize complex findings clearly for internal teams and show how technology may affect strategy, operations, and deal valuation.
  • Build working knowledge of IT benchmarks and qualitative inputs to help explain what a normal IT function looks like to clients.
  • Assist with client discussions, conference calls, and meetings.
  • Help draft content for IT report sections and other delivery materials.

Integration and separation support

  • Learn the technology dimensions of integrations, carve-outs, and optimization efforts such as synergy analysis.
  • Assess the existing IT landscape, support target operating model development, define transitional service agreements, and contribute to detailed implementation planning.
  • Back the IT workstream lead within broader integration and separation teams to help meet workstream goals.
  • Take part in important client workshops and meetings.
  • Support the identification and review of IT synergies within the wider team.

Broader role expectations

  • Work with senior client contacts as well as internal stakeholders such as partners and directors.
  • When not assigned to a project, support senior colleagues with proposal preparation, team propositions, and internal initiatives.

Education and experience

The preferred academic background is an MBA or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university, ideally with a technology focus. The role calls for 1 to 5 years of total work experience.

Technical qualifications

Experience in IT processes, tools, and frameworks is expected, including application support and maintenance, network and data center operations, software development life cycle, service management, security, disaster recovery and business continuity, cloud deployment models such as infrastructure-as-a-service, software asset management and compliance, infrastructure optimization, service level definitions and IT scorecards, and familiarity with ITIL, CMM SEI, CoBIT, and enterprise applications such as ERP and CRM. Experience assisting with technology assessments and diligence is also important.

Location

This position is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is an on-site full-time opportunity.
