Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Construction Worker position in the Greater Toronto Area. The person in this role will support landscape construction jobs from preparation through installation, helping deliver efficient, high-quality results that match client needs.
Key Duties
You will assist with site preparation and landscape construction activities, including grading, installing interlocking stone, building retaining walls, placing flagstone, and supporting both hardscape and softscape work.
Day-to-day work also includes loading and unloading materials, using basic tools and construction equipment, following site plans and supervisor instructions, and keeping the work area tidy, safe, and well organized.
The position also involves rooftop and penthouse landscaping support, sodding and planting tasks, and making minor corrections or adjustments during and after installation as required.
Safety and Working Expectations
You are expected to follow company safety procedures, use personal protective equipment properly, and work cooperatively with other crew members to complete projects on time and to the required quality standard.
Qualifications
Practical construction experience is important, especially in landscape construction, site preparation, and the use of hand and power tools.
Experience with masonry and flooring-related work is useful for hardscape tasks such as interlocking stone, flagstone, and retaining wall installation.
Renovation experience is helpful for repairs, adjustments, and improvements to existing exterior or landscape structures.
You should be able to understand product details, installation directions, and safety instructions, and have a working knowledge of workplace safety practices, including PPE use and compliance with WSIB and IHSA guidance.
This role requires physically demanding outdoor work in changing weather conditions, including lifting materials as needed. Strong teamwork, clear communication, punctuality, and dependable work habits are essential. Previous landscape construction or related trade experience is an asset, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation in the GTA is preferred.
