Construction Supervisor (Civil)

Role Overview

This position is for a Civil Construction Supervisor based in Doha, Qatar, supporting a major oil and gas client. The role sits with a global workforce solutions firm that delivers staffing support across the energy, process, and infrastructure sectors, operating internationally with a large workforce footprint.

Purpose of the Role

The selected professional will oversee contractor-executed construction activities to ensure project delivery matches the approved scope of work, engineering design requirements, and QHSE standards and specifications. The role also involves reviewing and commenting on construction method statements, material submissions, and commissioning procedures from the beginning of construction through to completion and final handover to end users. In addition, the supervisor will act as the performing authority for contractor permit-to-work activities.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should hold a B.Sc. in an engineering discipline from a recognized university, or a diploma in a relevant engineering field backed by substantial construction-related experience. An added HSE qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH will be considered an advantage.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and installation work within oil and gas projects is required. Applicants should also have practical exposure to construction best practices, systems, processes, and standards, along with strong construction management capability, clear communication, and conflict resolution skills.
