Role overview
G1 Facility Services is a nationwide provider of facility maintenance and construction support, working across sectors such as aviation, food services, and hospitality. Backed by more than 20 years in the maintenance and construction space, the company is hiring a Construction Side/Laborer to join its active field team in Orlando, Florida.
Compensation and schedule
This position pays $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with the final rate depending on experience. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The work schedule runs from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and weekend availability is also required.
Key duties
- Identify and prepare the correct materials and supplies needed for each phase of the job.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and with efficiency.
- Keep the worksite clean, orderly, and safe by setting up and clearing construction areas before, during, and after work.
- Support general site activities and day-to-day project execution.
- Move, load, and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job locations.
- Assist tradespeople such as carpenters, painters, and electricians as needed.
- Work in line with project directions, plans, and company processes to complete assigned tasks.
- Stay in regular contact with supervisors and coworkers about progress, needs, and site conditions.
Requirements
- A valid U.S. driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience is required; approval is also subject to the automobile insurance carrier's standards.
- At least 2 years of construction or general labor experience is preferred.
- You should have a practical understanding of construction-related trades.
- Ability to perform work both indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions is necessary.
- Strong written, spoken, and interpersonal communication skills are expected.
- You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Strict adherence to safety rules, PPE use, company safety practices, environmental guidelines, and OSHA best practices is mandatory.
