Construction Head - Real Estate (High-Rise Projects)

Role Overview

The Construction Head will take charge of the company’s construction function and provide senior leadership across a portfolio of real estate developments. The role covers residential, commercial, mixed-use, and plotted projects, with a strong focus on high-rise execution using Mivan Aluminium Formwork technology. The position is accountable for delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.

This leadership role involves managing a large cross-functional engineering setup of more than 100 professionals, including construction managers, project managers, planning engineers, QA/QC engineers, MEP engineers, billing engineers, and site engineers. The role also requires coordination with a large workforce of site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors across multiple project locations.

Strategic Construction Leadership

• Direct overall construction operations across several active projects.
• Create and execute construction plans that align with broader business goals.
• Define construction standards, working methods, and best practices that support operational excellence.
• Lead improvement initiatives that raise productivity, quality, and execution efficiency.
• Assist senior leadership with business planning, feasibility review, budgeting, and execution strategy.
• Build and guide a strong engineering team capable of handling multiple concurrent developments.

Project Planning and Execution

• Oversee construction activities from project start-up and mobilization through final handover.
• Prepare detailed schedules and execution plans for each project.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved timelines and budgets.

• Review key milestones and take corrective action whenever delays arise.

• Support a zero-accident culture through audits, reviews, investigations, and corrective measures.

• Review BOQs, material consumption, and resource utilization.
• Control project spending and reduce cost overruns.

• Forecast future manpower needs based on the project pipeline.
• Review structural, architectural, and MEP drawings before execution begins.
• Spot constructability issues and suggest engineering improvements.
• Support value engineering and design optimization activities.
• Ensure technical feasibility and coordination before work starts on site.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, PMCs, and statutory authorities.
• Represent the construction function in management reviews and board presentations.
• Support project approvals, customer handovers, and close-out activities.
• Identify risks related to construction, cost, safety, quality, and timelines.
• Put mitigation plans in place and maintain continuity plans for critical projects.
