Job description
Company Overview
Passpoint is a financial orchestration platform that brings together payments, compliance, liquidity, and settlement through one integration for markets across Africa, Europe, and the G20. Businesses use it to route payments in real time, apply country-specific compliance rules, and view consolidated settlement information across multiple currencies and regions.
The company functions as an infrastructure layer above payment service providers and gateways. It processes billions in annualized payment volume for more than 300 merchants across 16 corridors, including Nigeria, Kenya, the XOF region, Europe, the UK, China, and the United States.
Passpoint also maintains direct licenses from the Central Bank of Nigeria, operates under FINTRAC in Canada, holds a VASP license from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland, and delivers PSD2-aligned infrastructure across 24 EU countries and the UK. Its goal is to make local payment rails usable globally through a controlled and scalable operating layer.
Role Summary
The Compliance Officer will handle Passpoint’s daily compliance activities under the supervision of the Head of Compliance. This position is centered on AML/CFT execution, KYC verification, sanctions checks, transaction monitoring, and compliance reporting for payment and cross-border operations.
Key Responsibilities
You will support the compliance function by carrying out onboarding due diligence, monitoring activity, maintaining records, and escalating potential risks in a timely manner.
