  • Spot exceptions, recurring issues, control weaknesses, and other areas of concern.
  • Record observations clearly and help prepare monitoring reports and action logs.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to track remediation progress and close outstanding items on time.
  • Assist with monitoring activities involving AML/KYC, onboarding, customer due diligence, regulatory compliance, complaints handling, and conduct risk, where relevant.
  • Keep working papers, testing evidence, trackers, and other audit-ready records accurate and up to date.
  • Support reporting and management information on monitoring results, trends, exceptions, and remediation status.
  • Help refine monitoring checklists, templates, SOPs, and testing methods.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, Risk, or a closely related discipline.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory compliance, AML/KYC, internal audit, risk and controls, compliance operations, or banking operations.
  • Working knowledge of compliance controls, documentation standards, testing procedures, and issue tracking.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and control gaps.
  • Advanced comfort with Excel and using trackers, samples, and reporting tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English; Arabic language ability is an advantage.

Preferred experience

  • Background in banking, fintech, payments, insurance, wealth management, or other regulated financial services environments.
  • Exposure to compliance testing, QA/QC, AML/KYC reviews, internal audit, or control testing.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance, financial crime controls, conduct risk, or customer protection reviews.
  • Professional qualifications or progress toward ICA, CAMS, CIA, CFE, or a similar certification.
