Job description

Role Overview

Opal Autism Centers is seeking a Compliance and Training Manager to strengthen systems that support high-quality care, regulatory adherence, and staff development. This full-time exempt position is based in North Carolina and is fully remote, but the person in this role must live in North Carolina. Some travel to center locations will be required from time to time.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this position combines strategy and hands-on execution. The right candidate will enjoy improving processes, creating structure, and using training and quality systems to support clinical excellence across a growing healthcare organization.

The compensation for this role is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.

Key Duties

  • Monitor compliance activities on an ongoing basis, including incident reviews and support for audits across the organization.
  • Lead the organization’s training compliance efforts and help design and deliver internal learning programs for employees.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain policies, standard operating procedures, and employee handbooks in partnership with the Chief Compliance Officer, Chief People Officer, and People & Culture team.
  • Support the creation and administration of Opal’s Student Analyst Program.

Required Background

  • A bachelor’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Healthcare Administration, Training, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance, quality assurance, training, clinical oversight, or a similar healthcare-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with documentation reviews, incident investigations, quality improvement work, or regulatory compliance tasks.
  • Prior experience creating and delivering employee training programs.
  • Strong writing and speaking skills, including the ability to present effectively to both individuals and groups.
  • Excellent organization and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfort using technology platforms, learning management systems, and AI-assisted productivity tools.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while applying sound judgment and protecting confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

  • A master’s degree in ABA, Healthcare Compliance, Education, Training, or a related area.
  • BCBA certification in good standing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric healthcare.
  • Experience using CentralReach or a similar electronic health record system.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid, commercial payer, and ABA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience creating CEU or PDU programming.
  • Experience building eLearning content with tools such as Articulate Rise, Storyline, or comparable software.
  • Experience using AI tools to create training content efficiently at scale.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The role is remote, but applicants must live in North Carolina. Occasional travel to Opal center locations is part of the job.
