Role summary
This is a full-time remote Community Manager position for a client project. The role is focused on building a respectful, inclusive, and active online space while handling customer support and moderation across areas such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.
What you will do
- Keep online communities safe, welcoming, and well-moderated by spotting issues early and responding to questions.
- Handle customer concerns and complaints quickly, using a calm, empathetic, and professional approach.
- Use de-escalation techniques to reduce tension and help maintain a healthy group environment.
- Create and execute engagement ideas that encourage participation and keep the community active.
- Share useful feedback and observations with internal teams to improve the community experience.
- Stay organized while managing several conversations and tasks at once in a remote work setup.
- Communicate clearly and politely in writing and speaking across different channels.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure members feel supported and included.
Skills and qualifications
- Background in customer support and online community moderation.
- Ability to respond to issues and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort with conflict handling and de-escalating difficult situations.
