CoinAfrica is creating a leading crypto-focused media and community hub for Africa, with coverage spanning cryptocurrency, stablecoins, fintech, blockchain, regulation, startups, and Web3 culture across the continent.

The company’s goal is to tell Africa’s crypto story while developing one of the most active crypto communities in the region.

This position is for a hands-on growth operator who can spark discussions, launch campaigns, expand communities, distribute content, and convert audience engagement into measurable results. It is not limited to basic moderation.

The role reports to the Managing Editor / Operations Lead.

Primary Objective

Your core responsibility is to help CoinAfrica become Africa’s most engaged crypto media community by improving participation, expanding content reach, increasing traffic and readership, strengthening ecosystem relationships, turning readers into community members, and supporting growth across all channels.

Responsibilities

Community growth and management

• Oversee and expand CoinAfrica communities on Telegram, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, and newer platforms as they emerge.
• Initiate and guide discussions that are relevant and meaningful to the audience.
• Keep the community active, responsive, and highly engaged.
• Handle questions and feedback from community members.
• Design initiatives that improve loyalty, retention, and ongoing participation.
• Create engagement loops that bring people back repeatedly.

Content creation and social media

• Develop short-form content for X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Telegram.
• Produce social assets such as graphics, carousel posts, short videos, clips, and community-focused content.
• Spot trending topics quickly and turn them into timely, relevant posts.
• Capture on-site content at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem activations when required.
• Transform CoinAfrica articles, interviews, and videos into engaging social formats.
• Amplify the founder’s content and personal brand presence.

Zealy and campaign management

• Set up and manage CoinAfrica’s Zealy ecosystem.
• Create Insider Signals, Insider Points systems, quests, and challenges.
• Monitor participation levels and leaderboard activity.
• Coordinate weekly rewards and announce winners.
• Build gamified campaigns that lift engagement and participation.
• Ensure campaigns align with CoinAfrica’s growth goals.

Content distribution and audience growth

• Share every CoinAfrica article across all relevant channels.
• Build amplification plans around major stories and interviews.
• Increase readership and pageviews through community-led distribution.
• Encourage community members to share and engage with content.
• Create systems that improve discoverability of content.

Founder and ecosystem content curation

• Track founders, builders, investors, exchanges, and other key ecosystem voices.
• Source strong content, videos, interviews, and discussions.
• Curate relevant conversations with correct attribution.
• Identify emerging stories and opportunities ahead of competitors.

KOL and ecosystem partnerships

• Build and maintain relationships with creators, founders, communities, and ecosystem partners.
• Coordinate collaborative campaign efforts.
• Support partnership initiatives and growth opportunities.
• Spot opportunities to broaden the audience base.

Community events and activations

• Organize and support X Spaces, Telegram AMAs, Instagram Lives, community conversations, Zealy activations, and contests.
• Assist with CoinAfrica’s presence at industry events.
• Help deliver community-led campaigns and activations.

Newsletter production

• Curate and publish CoinAfrica newsletters.
• Select the most important stories and ecosystem updates.
• Write newsletter introductions and concise summaries.
• Keep editorial quality and publishing timelines consistent.

Analytics and reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
• Track community growth, engagement, retention, Zealy participation, traffic, newsletter performance, and social growth.
• Share practical recommendations based on the data.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of crypto, fintech, blockchain, and Web3.
• Proven experience managing online communities.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Background in creating social media content.
• Comfort working with Telegram, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Good grasp of internet culture and what drives social engagement.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Well-developed organizational ability.
• A growth-oriented mindset and openness to testing new ideas.

Preferred experience

• Exposure to Zealy, Galxe, or similar community platforms.
• Existing connections within African Web3 circles.
• Newsletter writing experience.
• Work experience in crypto, fintech, media, or startup ecosystems.
• Basic skills in video editing and graphic design.
• Experience partnering with creators and KOLs.
• Confidence appearing on camera for occasional video content.

Success after 90 days

• Zealy is fully set up and actively running.
• Weekly growth campaigns are operating consistently.
• A newsletter workflow is in place.
• Community engagement is rising month over month.
• New KOL and ecosystem relationships have been established.
• A monthly reporting rhythm is established.
• Article traffic from community channels shows a measurable increase.
