About the role
Community Care Trust Aotearoa is looking for caring, motivated people to join its Independent Living team in Dunedin | Ōtepoti. This role is based out of the local Operations Hub and involves supporting people in their homes and in the community so they can work toward their goals, grow their independence, and stay connected with others.
You will be part of a close team of about 30 Community Based Support Workers. The team culture is described as collaborative, encouraging, light-hearted, and focused on celebrating achievements together. The work is varied, so each day can look different.
The position offers mainly daytime shifts with permanent set hours, and usually only one later evening shift. There are full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Key responsibilities
- Developing trusting, positive connections with the people you support.

- Supporting community access and helping strengthen personal support networks.

- Completing competency-based training to build skills and qualifications.
- Working scheduled shifts, including one weekend day.
- Handling administration tasks connected to support delivery.
What you need to bring
- A current First Aid Certificate, or the willingness to complete one at the employer’s expense.
- A full, current New Zealand driver licence.
- Legal permission to work in New Zealand.
- A valid work visa with at least 12 months remaining before expiry.
- A positive, supportive attitude, good communication skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
