Role overview
The Department of Children and Families is seeking a Communications Officer to join its Corporate Communications team in Darwin. This role is focused on shaping and delivering media and communication support for departmental priorities as well as Northern Territory Government initiatives and programs.
What you will do
You will provide strategic advice on marketing and communications matters, coordinate communication projects from concept through to delivery, and work with stakeholders to ensure campaigns, events, and related activities are executed effectively. The position also involves producing strong digital, social, and marketing content, along with a range of communication materials and collateral.
Key focus areas
- Guide the development and delivery of media and communication requirements.
- Manage communication projects, including planning, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and execution.
- Create high-quality content for digital, social, and marketing channels.
- Maintain competing priorities while identifying communication risks and opportunities.

The total remuneration package is $117,546 to $130,843, which includes a base salary of $99,519 to $110,953.
