Role overview

This position is focused on delivering professional pest management services to commercial clients. The work involves inspecting properties, identifying the source and type of infestation, applying suitable treatment methods, and helping customers prevent future pest issues while staying aligned with safety requirements and service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect commercial sites carefully to spot pest activity, damage, and possible entry points.
  • Select and use approved pest control solutions such as pesticides, baits, and traps to address infestations safely and effectively.
  • Guide customers on prevention practices and share practical steps for reducing the chance of repeat infestations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships, confirm and schedule appointments, and support sales efforts with existing and new customers.
  • Keep service tools and equipment organized, stocked, and in proper working order.
  • Follow all applicable local, state, and federal rules related to pest control products and safety procedures.
  • Operate a company vehicle safely to travel to service locations; routine maintenance is provided by the company.

Working conditions and job demands

  • Work may take place in confined areas such as basements, crawl spaces, attics, narrow corridors, and similar locations.
  • The role can involve exposure to animals, insects, termites, mechanical components, vehicles, electricity, heights, scaffolding, dust, fumes, and chemicals; training is provided for safe handling.
  • Both indoor and outdoor work is expected, with company-issued weather gear available for local conditions.
  • The job requires frequent physical movement, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving up and down stairs, ladders, ramps, scaffolding, and poles.
  • Personal protective equipment must be worn, including an OSHA-compliant respirator.

Requirements

  • Must be clean-shaven for safety reasons so the respirator can seal correctly.
  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and related experience.
  • A valid driver's license from the state of residence is required.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in internal and external settings.
  • Basic arithmetic ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to follow product label instructions for mixing and handling materials.
  • Any licenses or certifications required by federal, state, or local regulations will be covered by the employer.
  • Customer-facing experience is preferred.
