Role Summary
The Colleagues Accommodation Attendant supports the upkeep, functioning, and basic repair of the staff accommodation area. The role focuses on maintaining the physical spaces, utilities, fixtures, furnishings, landscaping, and related equipment in good working condition.
Department and Reporting Line
Department: Talent & Culture - Accommodation
Reports to: Colleagues Services Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Colleague Services leadership to suggest practical improvements and ways to make operations more efficient.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across systems including air conditioning, electrical, refrigeration, building upkeep, furniture and fixtures, painting, replacement parts, repairs, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, plumbing, and drainage.
- Keep assigned areas clean, maintained, and upgraded in line with established procedures and quality standards.
- Notify management promptly about any issues that may interrupt service.
- Participate in daily briefings.
- Follow safe working methods at all times and apply efficient maintenance practices and proper repair procedures.
- Help with room assignment and inspections before new residents move in.
- Build capability through training and practical, hands-on learning.
- Take on other tasks as assigned.
