Job description

About the Role

Join CNN’s London-based features production team, part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s global media network. This role sits within a team that creates feature content for television, digital, and social channels. The internship offers a mix of editorial and camera work, with opportunities to contribute to broadcast-quality storytelling.

What You’ll Do

You’ll support editors with day-to-day post-production tasks and also work more independently on short-form feature pieces, TV packages, vignettes, and shows that air on CNN. The role also includes opportunities to help on shoots and work with professional broadcast camera equipment.

  • Assist the editing and camera teams across production workflows.
  • Prepare edits in Adobe Premiere Pro, including ingesting footage and logging material.
  • Edit short vignettes, TV packages, and feature segments on your own.
  • Support crews during TV shoots and operate a second camera when needed.
  • In some cases, shoot TV packages independently alongside a producer.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a creative candidate with a strong interest in film and television production, plus practical experience in both editing and shooting. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment and able to handle tasks independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Strong creativity in both editing and camera work.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for film and TV production.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
  • Prior experience shooting with video cameras is required.
  • Interest in broadcast cameras, especially Sony FX9, Sony FX7, and Sony A7s, is preferred.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving setting.
  • Confidence working alone, with producers, and with other camera/editing staff.

This is a 6-month internship starting on 1 September 2026. The salary is £29,000 per year, pro rata.
