Role Overview
This position combines CNC machine operation, setup, inspection, and quality coordination for precision component manufacturing in Hosur.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work orders correctly before starting production.
- Prepare CNC machines by installing the right tools, fixtures, and programs for the job.
- Fine-tune machine parameters such as offsets and tool length settings to meet required tolerances.
- Carry out first-piece inspection and obtain setup approval from the quality team.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep machines in good working condition.
- Check parts during production at regular intervals to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Coordinate with quality and customer-related requirements during inspection and setup approval, ensuring first-time acceptance.
- Use measuring tools such as height gauges and other inspection instruments as required.
- Maintain preventive maintenance routines and keep the workplace neat and organized.
- Update and preserve production documents, setup sheets, and inspection records.
- Follow safety rules and maintain cleanliness throughout the work area.
Preferred Profile
- Hands-on experience in setting up and operating CNC turning machines, VMCs, and related equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications for production execution.
- Skilled in quality checking using instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Capability to perform tool setting on CNC and VMC machines.
- Ability to identify machine or process issues, troubleshoot basic problems, and report defects or malfunctions promptly.
Education and Eligibility
Candidates with a Diploma in any specialization or ITI certification in Fitter or Machinist are eligible to apply.
