This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded AI startup at a very early stage and take ownership of marketing from the ground up. The position is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere, with a strong preference for an experienced start-up marketing leader who can build a function from zero to one.
The company is currently between seed and Series A, making this a core foundational hire. Prior experience in the AI sector is not mandatory; what matters most is a strong record of building marketing in a successful startup environment.

What you will do
- Set the overall marketing direction and build the function from the ground up.
- Shape the company’s positioning, messaging, and category story in a rapidly changing AI environment.
- Partner closely with the founders on product-market fit and go-to-market planning.
- Turn a technically complex offering into clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand messaging.
- Plan and run early growth tests across different channels.
- Create the initial demand-generation engine through content, partnerships, founder-led growth, and community activity.
- Define the main performance indicators and build feedback loops that support continuous improvement.
- Lay the groundwork for future acquisition, growth, and brand scale.
- Develop a strong and distinctive brand presence in a crowded AI landscape.
- Lead thought-leadership efforts that help position the company as a credible voice in AI decision-making.
- Build trust-focused narratives that highlight reliability and accuracy.
- Own the creation of core marketing materials, including the website, content, tools, and analytics setup.
- Choose and implement a lightweight marketing tech stack appropriate for an early-stage company.
- Work in a highly practical, hands-on way with limited initial resources.
- Define the future hiring roadmap and scale the marketing team over time.
- Help shape a lean and high-performing team once traction and product-market fit are established.
Candidate profile
The employer is explicitly open to applicants from outside the AI sector, provided they can demonstrate strong zero-to-one marketing capability and a proven history of delivery. The ideal person will have built marketing in an early-stage startup, ideally at a Seed through Series A/B or similarly fast-growth stage.
