Job description

About the Company

Biorce is a healthtech company focused on transforming drug development with the help of artificial intelligence. Its mission is to speed up medical progress and support better patient outcomes through more efficient, accessible treatment pathways.

The organisation brings together clinical research experts, data scientists, and AI specialists to connect advanced technology with practical clinical requirements. Its long-term vision is to help patients benefit from faster and more affordable access to treatments while reshaping healthcare through innovation.

About the Role

Biorce is looking for a Clinical Specialist to strengthen its Scientific function from the Austin or Barcelona hub. The role reports to the Chief Scientific Officer and is central to making sure Aika delivers work that is scientifically sound, clinically credible, and valuable for clients.

The Scientific team operates across three areas: Product, where the team partners with engineering and product to test and improve Aika; Scientific Solutions, which supports sales through demos, onboarding, and scientific guidance; and Scientific Communications, which turns the company’s work into articles, publications, and peer-reviewed papers. Interviews will be used to identify the vertical where the candidate can contribute most effectively.

What the Company Is Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical or scientific work and a genuine interest in the overlap between healthcare science and AI. The role suits someone who communicates clearly, thinks critically, and adapts well in a fast-moving environment.

This person should be comfortable taking full ownership of tasks, working with precision, and growing into the area that best matches their strengths.

Responsibilities

  • Use clinical and scientific knowledge to help verify the accuracy, reliability, and scientific strength of Aika’s outputs.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, commercial, and scientific colleagues to keep clinical relevance at the centre of what the company builds and delivers.
  • Contribute to work that faces clients or supports the product, including demos, onboarding, case studies, scientific content, or product validation depending on the chosen vertical.
  • Maintain strong standards for quality, documentation, and scientific discipline across all outputs.
  • Keep up to date with developments in clinical research, regulatory expectations, and the use of AI in healthcare.
  • Where relevant, support clients after onboarding by providing ongoing scientific guidance, helping them use the platform, and acting as a dedicated scientific partner.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or another closely related scientific or regulatory role within pharma, biotech, or a CRO.
  • A strong academic or professional background in a scientific or clinical field such as life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, biotech, or a similar discipline.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • A careful, detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to data quality and documentation.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment driven by AI.
  • Experience with regulatory submissions such as FDA, EMA, or equivalent frameworks is a plus.
  • Exposure to digital health, healthtech, or AI-enabled tools in a clinical setting is an advantage.
  • Published scientific work or experience creating scientific materials for clients is also desirable.

Perks and Benefits

  • Work with an international team in a collaborative environment that values diversity and shared purpose.
  • Join a group of high-calibre colleagues focused on making a meaningful impact.
  • Access comprehensive private health coverage for both physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work setup.
  • Take part in company events that recognise achievements and encourage team connection.
  • Receive a MacBook to support productivity and day-to-day work.
  • Work in a pet-friendly office.
