Role Overview
This is a field-based Clinical Education Manager position focused on NICU and maternity care. The role is based in Texas, covers the mid-central United States, and requires travel for up to 70% of the time. The starting salary is $110,000.

Clinical Education Responsibilities
- Create and carry out education plans for assigned territories based on customer priorities and clinical needs.
- Deliver education in multiple formats, including one-on-one presentations, roundtable discussions, formal learning sessions, webinars, and training programs.
- Simplify complex clinical topics into practical guidance that works for different customer audiences.
- Support customer education related to lactation, infant feeding, NICU, and maternity care.
Clinical Resource and Internal Support
- Serve as an in-house clinical resource for Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and National Accounts teams.
- Share clinical input that helps guide education strategies and account planning.
- Assist with clinically focused sales training and field skill development.
- Take part in journal clubs, clinical conversations, and ongoing professional learning.
KOL and Professional Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders across the assigned region.
- Handle coordination for KOL consulting agreements, calendars, and event participation.
- Work with clinical specialists and customers to support education programs and initiatives.
Trade Shows, Symposiums, and Conferences
- Help plan and deliver regional and national trade shows, symposiums, and conferences.
- Provide booth support and engage customers during clinical events.
- Collaborate across teams so event content and goals align with business priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree is required, while a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates must hold an active RN license or an advanced practice degree. IBCLC certification, or an equivalent certification with at least 2 years of experience, is also required.
Applicants should bring strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities, along with the ability to interpret clinical insights and turn them into education strategy. Good organization, collaboration, and time management skills are important for success in this role. A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates must live within the assigned territory; being near a major airport is preferred.
Preferred Background
Ideal candidates will have 5 or more years of clinical experience in NICU, maternity, lactation, or infant feeding settings. Relevant backgrounds may include NICU nursing, clinical nurse specialist or educator roles, dietetics, OT/ST feeding specialization, or infection prevention. Experience with Medela professional products is strongly preferred, as is experience in global or matrixed organizations. The role also calls for the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Additional Requirements
- Travel is expected to be about 70%, including overnight trips and occasional weekend travel.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs on occasion.
