Role Overview

The Clinical Data Analyst is a remote, full-time position centered on turning fitness and wellness data into practical insights that inform clinical, program, and business decisions. This person works with data from multiple sources, checking it carefully for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. They build and manage datasets, dashboards, and reports that track outcomes, usage, and key performance indicators. The role also involves statistical analysis to measure how well programs are working, spot patterns, and guide evidence-based recommendations. In addition, the analyst partners with trainers, wellness staff, and leadership to clarify data needs, explain findings in a clear way, and support ongoing improvement efforts. A further part of the job is helping establish data standards, documentation, and best practices that raise the overall quality of information across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, review, and maintain data from several sources to ensure it remains accurate and reliable.
  • Create and update datasets, dashboards, and reports that monitor outcomes, usage, and performance measures.
  • Use statistical methods to assess program results, uncover trends, and support recommendations based on evidence.
  • Work closely with trainers, wellness professionals, and leadership to understand reporting needs and turn analysis into understandable insights.
  • Help define and maintain data standards, documentation, and repeatable best practices for data quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing analysis that informs clinical, program, and business decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to review complex data, find patterns, and develop clear recommendations.
  • Solid experience in data handling, including collection, cleansing, validation, organization, and documentation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms, or similar systems, for reporting and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of statistics, including descriptive and inferential approaches, to assess outcomes and guide decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, public health, health informatics, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Helpful background in healthcare, wellness, or fitness settings, especially with clinical or outcomes-related data.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings in simple, non-technical terms.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage several priorities, and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, plus basic R or Python skills, would be an advantage.
