Role overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Clear & Clean Operative to support our Blackburn team. The role focuses on making empty homes ready for new residents through property clearance, final cleaning, and garden maintenance. It plays a key part in keeping our homes clean, safe, and presented to a high standard.

What the role involves
- Clear empty properties, carry out final cleans, and complete garden work to prepare homes for re-let.
- Sort, handle, and recycle waste correctly across different waste streams.
- Speak with residents in a clear and professional manner, taking responsibility for resolving issues and supporting good customer service.
- Follow health and safety requirements and help promote a strong safety-first mindset.
- Work in line with risk assessments, COSHH procedures, and all relevant legislation.
- Carry out basic inspection, servicing, and upkeep of tools, equipment, and machinery.
What we are looking for
- A full UK manual driving licence.
- Hands-on experience in cleaning or caretaking.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or customer-focused setting.
- Ability to use cleaning and caretaking equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act and site-specific safety rules.
Benefits and working pattern
- Starting salary of £25,878.
- 27 days of annual leave, increasing to 32 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.

- 37-hour working week: Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 3:30pm, and Friday from 7:30am to 3:00pm.
